UBIX is an easy-to-use steady-state software that simulates Underbalanced or multiphase drilling operations.
Underbalanced drilling (UBD) modeling is a complex challenge given the presence of multi-phases. It requires the use of complex formulas and correlations to calculate with accuracy the bottom hole pressure and friction at different flow rates accurately.
Due the difference in densities, viscosity and compressibility the phases do not flow at the same speed, creating different flow patterns. Additionally, pressure and temperature variations change the phases and flow patterns of hydrocarbons and fluids into the wellbore.
Drillsoft UBiX models the complex hydraulics for compressible fluids including air, mist, foam and multi-phase fluids. Drillsoft UBiX simplifies understanding, planning and execution of Underbalance operations.
